Bristol Walk Fest 2015
Bristol Walk Fest (Bristol Walking Festival) features the best walks that Bristol and its surrounding area can offer. The festival aims to attract a wide audience from those that are very new to walking to the more experienced rambler. Walk Fest’s month long programme offers a great opportunity to explore Bristol, learn something new and enjoy some fresh air and exercise. The programme of events features over 170 walks from 80 organisations, covering nature, history, architecture, wellbeing, families and much more. All walks have easy-to-follow grading and descriptions, with most offered free of charge. 1st May - 31st May. Details.
 
VegfestUK Bristol 2015
The UK’s biggest vegan event. This event is a unique hybrid of vegan food/info during the day, and live DJ’s in the evenings. The show runs for 2 ays, opening its gates to the public at 11am - 10pm Saturday 23th May, and 11am - 9pm on Sunday May 24th. LTJ Bukem, the legendary drum and bass DJ, will appear at 7:30pm on the evening of Sunday May 24th - he’ll be supported by Ian Silk and Flexi D. Harbourside Amphitheatre, BS1 5LL.
  
Chelsea Fringe Bristol
The Chelsea Fringe is an alternative garden festival that celebrates everything from guerrilla gardening and community projects to large-scale installations, performance art, street happenings and much more in between. It’s an open-access fringe festival, which means that if it’s about plants, gardens, flowers or landscape, and it’s interesting or original and quirky – then it’s in. Come and enjoy three weeks of creative green thinking. 16th May to 7th June. Details
 
Mayfest 2015
Mayfest is Bristol’s unique annual festival of contemporary theatre. We are dedicated to presenting a broad range of unusual, playful and ambitious work from leading theatre makers from Bristol, the UK and beyond. Mayfest is produced by MAYK in collaboration with Bristol Old Vic and works in partnership with other key arts venues across Bristol to present work in both established theatre spaces and non-theatre spaces all over the city. 15th - 24th May. Jessie J, The Kaiser Chiefs, George Ezra and Seasick Steve will play to thousands of music fans in Bristol this summer in this year’s Summer Series, which will take place once again in the Harbourside Ampitheatre. Tickets go on sale from Friday 27 February. The festival runs from 24th - 27th June.

The Newt Festival is the largest of its kind in Somerset with over 85 Real Ales on sale each year as well as local cider, bottled beers, wines and of course a range of non alcoholic drinks. Great live music is played throughout the weekend with an average of 12 bands performing on stage in the main marquee. Make a weekend of it and enjoy the camping facilities. 10th & 11th July.
