Now in its third year, Bristol Proms is back, continuing its tradition of inviting world-class artists to explore the classical repertoire in an informal, accessible atmosphere, and embracing the intimacy and unparalleled acoustics of Bristol Old Vic’s Theatre, from July 27th - August 1st 2015. Artistic Director Tom Morris has secured another phenomenal line-up.
 
Zoo Pride
Join Bristol Zoo on Saturday 1st August for a fantastic over-18s evening of fun and entertainment including live music in their big tent. Plus don’t miss the silent disco, incredible circus entertainment, fabulous face painting, hilarious comedians and of course the animal residents. Drink and food will be available with a wide selection of bars and food outlets selling tasty street food and both alcoholic and soft drinks. Details.
  
Aquarium Adventures
Enjoy a number of exciting daily Aquarium Adventures talks, feeds and activities over the summer holidays and explore the worlds oceans and rivers discovering the amazing creatures and animals that live in and around them. Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays. Mermaid Mondays - Meet the resident mermaid and enjoy storytelling about life under the sea.  27th July, 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st August. Bristol’s Sports Day
On Saturday 1 August College Green will be transformed into a hub of sporting activities, from traditional school sports, such as egg and spoon and three legged races, to popular team activities; football, basketball to individual races; cycling and rowing, as well as sports you may not have tried like Stand Up Paddle boarding. The day will host something for everyone. The event is free to attend.
 
Shaun The Sheep City Trail
This spring and summer, Shaun the Sheep is starring in two ewe-nique charity arts trails across London and Bristol, organised by Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Foundation – introducing, Shaun in the City! A flock of 70 b-ewe-tiful sculptures graze Bristol’s pastures from 6th July to 31st August. Details.
