I hear tell that the word “rassasy” is a 15th century word meaning to satisfy hunger with a great meal; I’m not sure this if this is why the name was chosen for this lovely little restaurant as I forgot to ask on account of the fact that I was deeply involved in being satisfied by a great meal at the time! The Eastfield Inn used to be our local many years ago and calling in to chase away the ‘after Christmas blues’ with a nice pint and good hot dinner to keep out the chill we found it much improved. Firstly warm welcomes weren’t what it used to be famous for so we were bowled over by the lovely friendly and happy staff from the moment we walked in to when we waddled out some long time later, and secondly it’s been redecorated and rearranged into a more cosy and appealing place to socialise and eat. We loved the new interior with its clean lines, mixing traditional beamed ceiling with light wood flooring and comfortable leather banquette seating. The atrium at the far end gives a spectacular view of the vaulted roof a storey above which makes for a light an airy feel .. Read Full Review
