BSL Courses At Centre for the Deaf, Bristol

BSL Taster Day




Centre for the Deaf are hosting a British Sign Language (BSL) taster day for anyone that is interested in learning how to sign or communicate with Deaf people.

The Taster day will include learning basic BSL, Deaf awareness information, Workshops and fun activities.

When: Monday 4th October 2010

Where: Centre for the Deaf, King Square, Bristol, BS2 8JL

Time: 10am to 3pm

Costs: £25 per person

Refreshment provided.

Where: Centre for the Deaf - Bristol

When: Every Monday 2pm - 4pm


What do we do:
We encourage positive use of “Total Communication” recognizing the importance of using all methods of communications, including: British Sign Language, Sign Supported English, use of voice, finger spelling, lip reading and Makaton.  The Communication group holds social/educational sessions which enables participants to take part in many different activities such as Arts and Crafts, Life Skills, games and outings to local places of interest.
