The Winford Arms

The Winford Arms is an award winning, traditional country pub just outside Bristol that offers a warm welcome, great pub food, a good range of ales and beers and an exceptional atmosphere. We were voted “ Bristol’s Favourite Boozer” in the Evening Post Pub of the Year Award and are proud of the qualities that earned us this.

This building has been around since the 1800’s and retains all the charm and character of its era – although the facilities have of course been modernised. We have a large garden with a children’s play area that encourages our customers to linger long on pleasant weather days and ample parking too. Our menu has been created to appeal to a broad range of tastes and is based on the ‘traditional’ pub menus of the past, with a few innovations thrown in.

We are situated just 5 minutes from Bristol Airport on the A38, with outstanding views of the surrounding countryside. Close by are the glorious Mendip Hills, a paradise for walkers who often frequent the Winford Arms for refreshment. This quaint rural setting not far from Chew Valley Lake is a perfect place to stop and enjoy all that nature has to offer.

Here at The Winford Arms we endeavour to cater to all tastes and provide a menu with something for everyone. Our kitchen team create a rich choice of mouth-watering meals to suit all appetites and tastes. We have daily specials and good vegetarian choices too and will (with advance notice) cater to special dietary requirements.

You could join us and enjoy a lunch time baguette or jacket potato from just £3.25, or if your appetite craves something more substantial, our Steaks start from £7.95. For the little people in your group or those with lighter appetites, we offer Children’s & smaller appetite meals from £2.95 and have daily home-made specials from £6.25. Our extensive range of other meals includes vegetarian selections, Roast Chicken, Curry & Chilli and so much more.

Wash this down with one of our great choices of draft lagers or bitters plus a wide range of spirits, and soft drinks. We take great pride too in our wine choices that come from many regions and are a perfect accompaniment to your meal.
