We have taken some of the most exciting cuisines from the 23 regions in China and created a menu that is both authentic and contemporary and distinctly different.

Sichuan and Yunnan styles are well represented as well as Cantonese favourites with a Zen twist. Try our mouth watering spicy diced chicken or twice-cooked pork. For the more adventurous, try Hell’s Concoction.

Our chefs all come with impressive credentials having cooked for dignitaries and royal families and our head chef has been personally invited to cook for embassies and major international corporations. Ideal for large parties and corporate events our restaurant can seat up to 400 guest.

Choosing an ideal menu in Chinese cuisine is an art in itself. Yin and Yang properties dictate that in any meal, there is a balance of ingredients and flavours.

How the dishes are cooked need to be weighed up, hence there should be some steamed dishes, some fried dishes and some braised. For every cold dish, there is a hot dish. A careful balance in flavours ranging from sweet, sour, bitter and spicy should be chosen to enhance your taste buds along with maintaining equilibrium to your palate.

Our set menus have taken all the above into consideration, letting you eat healthily yet tantalizing your taste buds at the same time.

The Bar

Indulge in exquisite cocktails or relax over exotic teas from the orient. Try our signature lychee martini and strawberry daiquiri or sample one of our special teas, Puer and Jasmine with chrysanthemum.

ZenBar is a new and unique lounge bar on the Bristol scene. Period Chinese furniture, contemporary and traditional Chinese art, imperial lamps and opium beds sets the ambience in this chic annex to restaurant Zen.

Come to ZenBar to meet friends and colleagues or to get away from the everyday and immerse your self in the opulence of old china and Shanghainese decadence.
