I read about the offer that Winford Manor Hotels is running with their Sunday Lunch of 2 for 1 main course, the offer runs until the end of February, I found put about this offer on Facebook, I scoured their website to find a voucher and couldent find any details so after ringing The Hotel I was told  that they would e-mail me a voucher to download.

 

We booked in and eat in the restaurant last Sunday, the meal was superb, my husband opted for the starter of prawns in a light tampure batter with a chillie dip , the prawns were sublime, I chose the Duck Liver Pate served with french toast and apricot chutney this was equally as good, for the main course I chose the Somerset Rib Of Beef, yorkshire pudding, lovely crisp roasters and served with a dish of locally sourced fresh vegetables, my husband chose the smoked haddock & prawn risotto, this was light and creamy and absolutely delicious, we were both to full to order a sweet but there was a choice of chocolate and hazlenut with armaretto cream, seasonal fruits poached in scented teas served with clotted cream. steamed syrup sponge with vanilla ice cream or a selection of local chesses with chutney and biscuits.

 

This was an enjoyable lunch made even more enjoyable as the restaurants top to bottom windows overlook the picturesque grounds of the Manor ..
